Sunny Day Outfit // Impromptu Adventures

Hello everyone,

There is no better friend than a friend who is totally willing to be picked up with no notice whatsoever and is then whisked off on some random adventure, that of course requires her to take pictures. ;) This day in particular, was just another one of our normal outings. Getting lost, trying to find parking (Shout out too the cool Irish guy who gave us his parking receipt), ice cream, impromptu photo shoots, me yelling at cars, getting lost again, belting out tunes. It seems mundane, but life has a funny way of making the little things the things you cherish the most.

My outfit was super simple, but sometimes I feel the most confident in something casual and basic. Here in Washington, we've had bipolar weather. One day it's 80 degrees, the next it's 50 degrees and raining. On this particular day, it was pretty hot so a simple dress and light, airy cardigan was perfect for the outdoors. I loved the red building, so Chloe and I both jumped at the idea of taking some shots in front of it. I'm still not quite sure the purpose of that shop, but at least it's pretty.

It was such a joy to be with Chloe and going wherever we decided in that moment. Come summer, many more impromptu trips and photo shoots are coming, so stay tuned!

With love,

Elizabeth

Uh, Hello Again

Hello,

I feel like I owe you all an explanation. Can I just jump into blogging after being gone for months? I've missed writing. I've missed the connection I felt with other bloggers, and the way writing something that shouted ME felt, Often times, I would think about opening up my laptop and typing something up, but nothing seemed right. In all honesty, I have no excuse. There was no family emergency, my town didn't tragically loose electricity, my itch for words didn't disappear. I simply became overwhelmed with my many responsibilities and picked the easiest thing to drop.

Oh, but how I've missed this.

I cannot guarantee I will write often, nor can I say what my blog will even focus on, but I can tell you I have missed writing so very much, and my brain has become a storehouse for the many prompts, ideas, and quotes that have inspired me. I have started making time again to read other blogs, and I finish school this week, causing me to have a little more time on my hands.

With all of that, I hope to come to you soon with something a little bit more interesting. In the meantime, I will try to drown out the calls of my responsibilities and finals by reading a good book and hiding in my bedroom.

With Love,

Elizabeth

What is Family?

A family is love
That puts itself above
Everything else in this world.

A family is trust
That's fair and just
In its treatment of each other.

A family is pride
And will never hide
Its feelings for one another.

A family is dear
And won't disappear
When things are getting tough.

A family is hope
That learns to cope
With all that comes their way.

A family is sound
With their feet on the ground
On every brand new day.

A family is kind
And will always find
The time to be together.

A family is wise
And treasures its ties
For always and forever.
