Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Hello friends,

Last Friday my family and I woke up to a beautiful surprise. SNOW! A good snowfall was much overdue and finally, after a few years, we got a couple lovely inches. Plus, it came around Christmas and stuck. We had a white Christmas! It was truly a blessing. Of course, I had to take advantage of this gorgeous sight and take a few pictures. So Aaron, our mother, and Murphy set out to do just that.

I just love my family and these pictures are so honest to our relationships. Aaron running around making goofy faces, and my mom tolerating me taking a few of her (shhhh don't tell her I posted them), And of course, the pup. He's so funny in the snow, he'll jump in the air to catch the flakes and then fall back down, all confused. Aaron likes to make snowballs and watch Murphy try to catch them. It's a bit cruel, but entertaining nonetheless. Confession time: I'm not really an animal person, and would get slightly annoyed at people obsessing over their dogs, but I adore my fluffy pup and can't stop taking pictures of him and showing them to others. So I suppose I'm warming up to the idea of liking animals, especially if they have cute faces and live with me.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Can you believe it's over? Time goes by so quickly and the thing you were waiting for for so long, suddenly is over with and gone. It was very pleasing to have a white Christmas, though, and spend time with family. But guys, winter break is over in a week and I'm just not ready, not ready at all.

Send help and lots of coffee please. Also, cake. Cake cures all.

How has your week been? Can you believe it's officially winter AND that the year is almost over? Guys, it's too crazy, I think I must go hide and wait it out.

Hoping you have a wonderful week,

  1. AHHHHHHH THESE PICTURES ARE ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!! Needless to say I'm a bit jealous (esp. cuz it was like, 50 degrees on Christmas here :/ ) Christmas was good! Lots of family and food and friends to wrap it all together (even if we were lacking some fluffy white stuff outside). I hear you on that one-- Christmas just popped out of nowhere this year, and came and went probably the fastest it ever has in my 19 years on this earth. But I'm thankful for this break and the people I've got surrounding me, so that's all that really counts, right? Oh, and cake. You're right-- can't forget the cake (;

    like your photography is so so good!! these pictures are beautiful. whenever i try to take pictures of the snow it's like...white. XD That's great that you had a white Christmas! It's crazy to think that the new year is almost HERE WHAAT

  3. THIS LOOKS SO MAGICAL. We are currently getting clobbered with snow right now. It looks like Narnia outside!! xD THANK GOODNESS WE HAVE WARM HOUSES RIGHT <333 I love these pictures so much I cannot even. :')

  4. Those are some great pictures! I wish we got snow where I lived, the nice thing was we got some rain before and after Christmas. You get a week more of winter break? lucky I had to start up again after Christmas. My weeks been good so far, thanks for asking :) I'd send over some coffee but I don't drink it so I wouldn't know which is the good one :P but here is some virtual cake enjoy!

  5. oh my god!!!!! these photos are so beautiful and heart warmning (though technically they look super chilling but still). it doesn't snow where i live which is totes a mad sad thing but snow makes me S O happy

  6. Snow!!! Yippee for you! :) I don't know why, but just having it snowing outside (even if it doesn't hardly accumulate or stick) makes me happy. The snow here looks a little sad because it hasn't snowed again, and it's slowly mud = sad me. Though my heart sang a little (but my poor dad who was driving...)last night when we were coming over Snoqualmie pass in the snow. It was so breathtakingly gorgeous.

    On the new year part, though, I'm not so happy. The end of the year always makes me feel blue...and I just realized tomorrow is the last day...So...ultra blue.

okay so this is how it works : you read my blog, comment and i reply. then you respond and so forth. they make my day and bring a smile - thanks so much <3
