Follow Me Around: Oyster Dome

Yes, the trail was super muddy. Both shirt and shoes are from Nike, and the leggings are from Old Navy

 Hello everyone,

I am so sorry for not posting for an entire week! The last few days have been kind of crazy. I know I promised some yummy valentine themed recopies, but I got to busy with school and then I had a youth retreat, so I never got around to it. I could still post them, but they would be kind of out of place. If you all are interested though, let me know in the comments below! I would totally do a post on them if it's wanted.

Anyways, last Sunday I went hiking with a one of my good friends and both our older brothers and their friends. We hiked the Oyster Dome trail, it's a pretty famous and difficult hike here in the Pacific Northwest. It has been on my bucket list forever, so it was pretty cool to finally experience it. We had perfect weather, high 50s and low 60s. It took us about two hours to hike the 4 miles to the lookout, but it was so worth it! We got to watch the sunset and take in the view, these photos really don't give it justice. The sunset was beautiful, but that meant we had to walk the entire way down in the dark, which was difficult but sorta fun at the same time. Overall, I would totally hike this trail again come spring or summer.

With Love,

Elizabeth

  1. That looks like sooo much fun! Beautiful photos.

p.s. your hair in the third photo looks like it could be light purple. Maybe it's just my computer screen but I just wanted you to know I think you would be adorable with purple hair.

    1. It was, thank you!
And it totally does, I didn't notice that at first. Thanks though :) I'm not sure if I would ever be brave enough to try it, but maybe someday!

  3. Hikes are so much fun! Have you ever been to the Smokey Mountains? Those are my favorite mountains to hike in, although some of the mountains include pretty advanced trails. One of my dreams is to be able to go up to Washington, and specifically Seattle because of some of our best friends that moved up there. This makes me want to go up there even more :)
Lovely pictures, I have to say the last one is my favorite :)
