Follow Me Around: The Pumpkin Patch

Hello Everyone,

Last Friday, during a short break in the rain, my mom and I took the little boy I nanny to the pumpkin patch. I snapped a few pictures of Slater and thought it would be cool to share them with you. I haven't posted in awhile, which I feel terrible about! Guys, I have been so busy. I was house sitting, I've had multiple essays due, and now Washington has this huge storm going on and the electricity has been going off. I'm sorry for my absence, but hopefully I can be back at it soon.

Anyways, we had loads of fun and he was so cute! The entire time he ran around yelling, "This is fun, this is fun!" It was adorable. Of course, being the little boy he is, he spent most of his time looking at the big tractors and splashing around in the puddles instead of looking for the perfect pumpkin and getting pictures by the sunflowers. It was still really nice to get him out of the house and run around. Normally, we just say at his house, so this was a special treat.

And guys, I now feel like it's fall! Between the trip to the pumpkin patch, rainy days, and color changing trees, something has clicked in my mind and I'm excited. Fall has always been my favorite season. I love the colors, the weather, the clothes, and it gives me the excuse to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas multiple times. Seriously, that movie is the best. It also allows teenagers and grown adults to dress up, so that's exciting. I'm trying to decide on what to be for my youth group's costume party. Any suggestions? I kind of want to be Pooh Bear and walk around with a jar of honey, but is that odd? I don't know, leave me some feedback down below!

I hope you all have been having an amazing fall so far. What's your favorite thing about the season?

With love,

  1. I really enjoyed this post. :) The pumpkin patch sounds fun! and the boy you nanny is adorable! =D
I love fall, too! Rain sure does help it feel like the season ;P
I don't know what my favorite thing about fall would be... probably the rain... or the clothes... or my birthday ;P
Being Pooh Bear isn't odd! You should do it =D

  2. Such cute pictures! That little dude is adorable! :)

    With love and all joy,
    Allie D.

  3. Hey there! I saw your comment on 'The Cwtch' blog and noticed you said you're from Washington. That's where I live! I just had to come by and say 'hey' to a fellow Washingtonian :)

  4. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS POST!!!! Pumpkin patches and corn fields speak to me...

Plus, the little boy is sooo cute! And the pictures are great.

  5. Your pictures are all so lovely, Elizabeth! I love your posts so much because they make me feel like going outside and conquering the world or something xD I have never gone pumpkin picking but I think it would be so awesome. I've been having a pretty good fall so far :)

  6. Awww, this is SO CUTE!! And so picturesque. I loooove the idea of a huge pumpkin patch like this.😍 And the little boy you nanny is absolutely adorable omg. I look after my preschooling nephew/niece a lot and I'm pretty sure they'd be into all the puddles and tractors instead of the pumpkins too. hehe.h.😂

  7. Pumpkin patches are very fun!! I'm glad you had a good time!! Hey, I think dressing up as Pooh bear would be so cool! :)

  8. This looks like so much fun!! I haven't had a chance to go to a pumpkin patch this year and it makes me really sad haha. I want to have a photoshoot at a sunflower field! That would be so much fun. And I totally think that you should be Pooh! That would be adorable:)
