Weekend Summary #2

Hello.

Today I am here with another weekend summery. I love adventuring and doing different things during the weekend, so you might see a lot of these in the future. I also might share some more pictures of the hike and the little town/fort I visited. It was a super fun weekend though, I'm sad it is over.

Friday// I started the day with finishing up some school, cleaning, and grocery shopping, but later that night I had a friend over and we had a movie night. We watched all musicals since I am kind of obsessed with them and she enjoys them too. We watched Hairspray, a movie we both love; Grease, a movie she adores but I hadn't watched yet; and lastly, Les Miserables. I absolutely love that movie and the book. When I had heard she hadn't seen it, I forced her to watch it. She didn't like it to much, but it was still a great night!

Saturday// After we woke up from a night of watching movies and eating popcorn, we made chocolate pancakes with homemade raspberry jam and whip cream. They were delicious! Afterwords, my family packed up our car and we went to explore Fort Casey and Coupeville out on Whidbey Island. It was a super fun day! I took a ton of pictures of both the fort and the adorable little town. We also got to watch the sunset, it was beautiful! More pictures may be coming soon. :)

Sunday// Sunday was another fun day! After church, some of my brothers and I's friends went
on a hike up Sauk Mountain. The view was amazing, but the trail was super muddy, and at times, covered in snow, so we didn't trek up the entire way. We definitely need to return in the summer though, when all the snow is gone and we aren't slipping off the trail and breaking our necks. Afterwords, we went and got pizza at our favorite pizza joint. Again, I may also post a few more pictures of this hike if you are all interested. :)

What did you do this weekend? Are there any interesting hikes near where you live?

I hope you had a fantastic weekend,

Elizabeth

  5. Oh, wow! That sounds like a great weekend :) I'm not surprised you are sad that it's over. I wish our lives were always as wonderful as the weekends, but that's not reality.
I LOVE movie nights...and spending time with friends. <3 This reminds me of a couple of weekends ago when my best friend came over for a similar thing except we watched Pride and Prejudice XD
Lovely pictures too, by the way!
